Soak Up The Sun! July Events In Palm Springs

White, blue, and red streaks from fireworks in the night sky
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The skies are blue and the nights have a perfect warm breeze, but after 10 a.m. the heat is on in Palm Springs until the sun starts to go down. The best course of action is to lounge by the pool for a couple hours in the morning, then explore downtown after stopping for breakfast or a smoothie.

For those who like the heat but are cautious with the sun, I would suggest a hat, or a sunbrella. You can wear whatever you like, but it’s still fashionable to dress in 1960s chic. Floppy hats are fun for by the pool, but mine always manage to lose their shape, and I can only see my feet. Moving on…

This month, there’s an unexpected cabaret series going on and some great choices for pool time fun, but there are also some summer hours and summer closings. I’ve tried to capture them the best I could for you. Make sure to call and/or check the website for hours.

Cabaret

Palm Springs is gaining momentum in the art of cabaret. Each year more and more performers step out of the play and into the spotlight with stories and songs. This summer we’ve got some new ones and some older favorites.

The Palm Springs Cultural Center is gaining traction as the place to go for live entertainment as well as a terrific selection of films and sing-a-long movies. This summer they’re presenting Cabaret A La Carte. These are some of our top performers in Palm Springs, and all three of them are 100% worth seeing:

July 11: Francesca Amari’s award-winning Linda Ronstadt Tribute

July 18: Erik Romney’s Broadway’s Bad Guys

July 25: Adele Through the Ages with Lizzie Schmelling
