They’re just stunning.” When Sony and his wife, Unni Vimal, purchased the property in 2024, it was already named in honor of Gabriel’s famous song “El Noa Noa,” written about the Mexican nightclub where he started his career. “The song is beloved in the LGBTQ+ community, as the club was a place of acceptance, freedom, and expression,” Sony said. “In the context of the song, El Noa Noa symbolizes a space where people can dance, let loose, and truly be themselves. That’s exactly the kind of vibe I wanted to honor and carry forward — one of freedom, joy, and celebration.” El Noa Noa is Sony and Unni’s inaugural hotel. When he walked onto the property for the first time and saw how calm and private it is, Sony “instantly fell in love,” he said. The tall palms and quiet surroundings “create this perfect mix of Bohemian elegance and upscale tranquility,” and Sony and Unni want each guest to “feel like they’ve stepped into a special place, a sanctuary where they can recharge and reconnect.” Every room is designed as a “peaceful retreat,” and Sony invites couples to write their own love story in the Honeymoon Suite, which is “truly special, with its private waterfall spa and stunning views.” El Noa Noa’s wellness space, Pura Vida, gives guests the chance to indulge in spa treatments, massages and holistic therapies, and afterward, they can chill in the swimming pool or rest in one of the comfortable lounging areas.
