As soon as guests step on property at Holiday House, they can’t help but smile. It’s a fun hotel, reimagined in 2017 by interior designer Mark D. Sikes. Built in 1951 by Herbert W. Burns, Holiday House has 28 guest rooms, all completely remodeled with oversized showers, Waterworks bath hardware, and Malin + Goetz bath amenities; some also have private outdoors spaces and Smeg appliances. The property is decorated in calming shades of blue, and visitors will spot intricate tilework and art by Roy Liechtenstein and David Hockney, among other notable names. The property is adults only, 21 and over, and there are no telephones or televisions in the rooms, ensuring tranquility. At The Pantry, guests can order lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch (try the lobster roll or club sandwich) and there are also special events, like Fried Chicken Family Dinner, held twice a month on Wednesdays. The full bar is open until 11 p.m. daily.
