Tucked away perfectly between booming Downtown Palm Springs and the serene San Jacinto Mountains in the historic Tennis Club District, The Rossi embraces old school charm with an eclectic flair in a lush tropical setting. Though newly re-opened as The Rossi Hotel in 2017, the property has been a notable hotel destination since the 1920’s, originally known as “The Wigwam.”

Each of our eight spacious suites boasts a private patio and jacuzzi with spectacular mountain views, allowing the guest experience to become one that is truly secluded and restorative.  Each suite has a different “personality” and is decorated with antiques from around the world aswell as both local and international artwork. The Rossi is a blend of elegant and funky, tranquil and exciting.

The property is surrounded by 180 degree views of the stunning San Jacinto Mountains. Lush, green tropical foliage and desert flowers work together to create an unexpected yet fitting setting for a desert hideaway.

Though the hotel grounds are designed for ultimate relaxation and bliss, we are located just two blocks away from all of the action of Downtown Palm Springs, just a quick stroll to restaurants, shops, galleries and activities. The Rossi is about having it all; the tranquility and seclusion of the property, and the proximity to the booming Downtown area.

Located in the famous and historic Tennis Club District, the neighborhood is quiet and mostly residential, yet located just steps away from all the Downtown action. There’s no need to drive to dinner or for sightseeing; most guests leave their cars parked at the hotel and don’t move it their entire stay.

The Rossi is walking distance from the many restaurants, bars, and shops on Palm Canyon Drive, The Palm Springs Art Museum, and numerous hikes and view points. It is also just a short drive to the famous Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to take in the views from 8500 feet above! For something a bit more grounded, walking tours to view Palm Springs’ famous mid-century architecture happen all around The Rossi as well.

Hotel Backstory

A deep love for Palm Springs

Growing up in Los Angeles, Denise Adams grew up vacationing in Palm Springs. She loved those visits to the desert, and when she sold her greeting card business and the opportunity came up to purchase an older hotel for sale on North Palm Canyon Drive, she jumped on it.

The Palm Springs Hotel opened in November 2014, with Denise entering a partnership with friends and family to own and operate the hotel. She followed her instincts when it came to decorating and designing the property, adding a bit of an industrial slant to a hotel that is primarily mid-century.

"It's clean and simple, but elegant," she said.

The hotel's 15 rooms are situated around the pool, have bold furnishings, and are named after some of Palm Springs' most famous celebrity guests — Elvis, Frank Sinatra ("I like men in suits, with a tie or tux," Denise said). Making guests happy is the top priority of Denise and her manager, Leslie Valentine, and Denise said she is so excited when guests walk in and their expectations are exceeded.

"It's a boutique experience," Denise said. "To us, guests are royalty. We do whatever we can to make a guest happy, and they feel the love and give it back to us. Our guests mean everything to us."
